Cookie Policy

Last updated: 23 April 2026

This policy explains how evaal.ai uses cookies and similar technologies. It covers which cookies we set, what data those cookies collect, how we ask for your consent, and how you can change or withdraw that consent at any time.

Evaal does not set any analytics or tracking cookies until you explicitly click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Reject — or close the browser without choosing — no analytics script is loaded and no data is sent to any analytics provider.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device to remember information about you between visits, such as your login state, your language preference, or whether you have responded to a cookie banner. Some cookies are set by the website you are visiting (first-party cookies); others are set by services embedded in that website (third-party cookies).

The rules covered by this policy apply equally to other local storage mechanisms that serve the same purpose, including the browser localStorage API, sessionStorage, and similar technologies.

Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary: technologies that are required for the site to function. These are set without consent because without them the site cannot work. The cookie banner's own choice is stored this way (in localStorage, not a cookie) so it does not reappear after you have chosen.

Analytics (consent required): cookies set by Google Analytics 4 once you click Accept on the banner. These help us understand how visitors move through the site so we can improve the product and the marketing copy. They are not loaded at all until you consent, and they are not used for advertising or ad profiling.

Evaal does not use advertising cookies, cross-site retargeting, or social-media tracking pixels on evaal.ai at this time.

The cookies and storage we set

evaal-cookie-consent (localStorage, first-party, ~unlimited): records your answer to the cookie banner as 'accepted' or 'rejected'. Without this entry the banner would re-appear on every page load. Clearing it (via the 'Cookie settings' link in the footer, or by clearing site data in your browser) brings the banner back.

_ga (cookie, third-party — Google LLC, 2 years): set by Google Analytics only after Accept. Used to distinguish unique visitors. Stores a randomly-generated client identifier; it does not contain your name, email, or any identifier we can cross-reference to you personally.

_ga_67R6B82ECT (cookie, third-party — Google LLC, 2 years): set by Google Analytics only after Accept. Used to persist session state for our specific GA4 property. The suffix is our Measurement ID.

Google Analytics as a third-party processor

When you click Accept, we load Google Analytics 4 into your browser and it begins collecting visitor data on our behalf. The data Google receives for each pageview typically includes: your IP address (used to approximate country and city, then discarded by Google per their IP anonymization), the URL you visited, the referrer, your user agent (browser and OS), screen resolution, approximate location, and the events you trigger on the page (clicks, scrolls, outbound links).

Google processes this data on its servers, which are located in the United States and in other regions. Transfers of personal data outside the European Economic Area are covered by Google's Standard Contractual Clauses. We have configured our GA4 property with IP anonymization and have not enabled Google Signals, ad personalization, or data sharing for advertising purposes.

You can read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely across any website by installing Google's official Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

How to give, withdraw, or change your consent

On your first visit, a consent banner is shown. Clicking Accept loads Google Analytics. Clicking Reject prevents it from loading. You must make an explicit choice; closing the tab without choosing is treated as no consent and no analytics script is loaded.

You can change your mind at any time. The 'Cookie settings' link in the footer of evaal.ai clears your stored choice and reopens the banner, so you can give a new answer.

If you click Accept and later click Reject, the Google Analytics script will not be loaded on subsequent visits. Cookies previously set by Google Analytics (_ga and _ga_67R6B82ECT) can be cleared by your browser's 'Clear site data' control.

Managing cookies in your browser

Every modern browser lets you view, refuse, or delete cookies. Instructions differ by browser; you can usually find them under Settings → Privacy. The AllAboutCookies website (allaboutcookies.org) maintains up-to-date instructions for every major browser.

Refusing all cookies in your browser will not prevent you from using evaal.ai — the site does not rely on cookies for core functionality. It will, however, reset your cookie-banner choice on every visit.

Cookies in the Evaal application

When you sign in to the Evaal application (outside evaal.ai), additional first-party cookies are set for authentication and CSRF protection. Those cookies are covered by the Evaal Privacy Policy rather than this page, because they require a customer account to be created and are therefore governed by our Data Processing Agreement with you as a customer.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or a jurisdiction with similar law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, and port personal data we hold about you, and the right to object to processing. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Because Evaal does not attempt to identify individual visitors from the analytics data our processor (Google) collects on our behalf, we are in most cases unable to connect that data to you personally. If you believe we may be processing personal data about you, email hello@evaal.ai and we will investigate.

Changes to this policy

Material changes — new cookies, new third-party processors, or a change in how consent is collected — will be communicated through an updated cookie banner on evaal.ai and, where required by law, by requesting consent again. The current version of this policy is always reachable at evaal.ai/cookies, with the last-updated date at the top of the page.
